MAN ON MAN (MOM):
I. PROCEDURE:

1. MAN ON MAN IS A HANDGUN DISCIPLINE THROUGH WHICH A PARTICIPANT IS TESTED FOR SPEED AND ACCURACY AGAINST ANOTHER SHOOTER.

2. TARGETS ARE WHAT IS AVALABLE TO THE RANGE.

3. ANY FALLING OR KNOCK OVER STEEL PLATES FOR A MAXIMUM OF EIGHT TARGETS CAN BE USED TO CREATE AN ARRAY.

4. A SHOOTERS TARGET QUANTITY WILL BE BASED ON THEIR TARGET COUNT.

5. LEFT AND RIGHT ARRAY'S SHALL BE MIRRORS OF EACH OTHER AND CREATE AN EVENT.

6. IT IS MANDATED THAT:
A. THE RIGHT TARGET (LEFT SIDE ARRAY) AND THE LEFT TARGET (RIGHT SIDE ARRAY) ARE DESIGNATED AS THE STOP TARGET.

B. THE LEFT TARGET (LEFT SIDE ARRAY) AND THE RIGHT TARGET (RIGHT SIDE ARRAY) WILL ALWAYS BE AN ACTIVE PLATE. PLATES NOT SET, TO MET THE SHOOTERS TARGET COUNT, WILL START IMMEDIATELY AFTER THESE PLATES.

C. THERE ARE NEVER MORE THAN EIGHT (8) NOR LESS THAN FOUR (4) TARGETS PER SHOOTER.

D. ALL PARTICIPANTS WITHOUT A TARGET COUNT SHALL SHOOT ALL EIGHT (8) TARGETS.

E. A PARTICIPANT SHALL PERFORM A RELOAD AFTER THEIR FIRST TARGET FALLS AND BEFORE THEIR STOP TARGET IS ENGAGED.


7. TARGET SIZE TOLERANCES:
A. ROUND: 8 +/- 0.5"(DIAMETER).

B. PEPPER POPPERS:
1) 1/2 SIZE: HEIGHT 21 +/- 0.5"; CENTER CIRCLE 6 +/- 0.5".
2) 2/3 SIZE: HEIGHT 28 +/- 0.5"; CENTER CIRCLE 8 +/- 0.5".

8. TARGET HEIGHT TOLERANCES: NOT APPLICABLE.

9. TARGET DISTANCE TOLERANCES: 12 YARDS +/- 6 " TO CENTER OF THE ARRAY.

10. EVENTS WILL BE SHOT A MAXIMUM OF THREE TIMES.

11. ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL SHOOT AGAINST ALL OF THE OTHER PARTICIPANTS IN EACH EVENT.

12. ONE POINT WILL BE AWARDED TO THE PARTICIPANT WHO WINS THE FIRST TWO (2) OUT OF THREE (3) RUNS. THE 3rd RUN WILL NOT BE SHOT WHEN TWO (2) WINS OCCUR.

13. THE WINS WILL BE USED TO CALCULATE A PARTICIPANTS TARGET COUNT.

A. PARTICIPANTS MUST SHOOT AGAINST ALL OF THE OTHER SHOOTERS IN THE EVENT TO HAVE THEIR WINS CONVERTED TO A TARGET COUNT.

B. THE TARGET COUNT WILL BE APPLIED TO THE NEXT MOM MATCH THEY SHOOT.

C. A PARTICIPANTS TARGET COUNT SHALL BE UPDATED AFTER THE MATCH HAS BEEN COMPLETED.

D. TO OBTAIN A PARTICIPANTs TARGET COUNT:
1) DIVIDE THE PARTICIPANTS TOTAL WINS (ALL EVENTS) BY THE NUMBER OF (SHOOTERS (ALL EVENTS) MINUS THE NUMBER OF EVENTS).

EXAMPLE: 2 EVENTS 6 PARTICIPANTS, (A PARTICIPANT CANNOT SHOOT AGAINST THEIR SELF) 3 WINS FOR THE FIRST EVENT, 4 WINS FOR THE SECOUND EVENT. 7 WINS DIVIDED BY 10, (12 PARTICIPANTS - 2 EVENTS).

2) THE FOLLOWING TABLE CONVERTS THE PERCENT TO A TARGET COUNT:
[8] 85.0% - 100%
[7] 70.0% - 84.99
[6] 50.0% - 69.99%
[5] 30.0% - 49.99%
[4] 00.0% - 29.99%

14. PAINT COLORS
A. WHITE - TARGET HIT ZONES ARE PAINTED PRIOR TYO THE MATCH.

B. BLACK - ANY PART OF THE TARGET THAT IS NOT A DESIRED HIT AND FALL ZONE


II. HANDGUNS, CALIBER AND AMMUNITION:

1.HANDGUNS.
A. STOCK HANDGUNS MAY BE PISTOLS OR REVOLVERS.
1) COMPENSATORS OR PORTING ARE NOT PERMITTED.
2) SCOPES, ELECTRONIC SIGHTS, LASER OR OTHER OPTICS ARE NOT PERMITTED.
3) ADDITIONAL WEIGHTS ADDED TO THE HANDGUN ARE NOT PERMITTED.

B. OPEN HANDGUNS DO NOT FALL INTO THE STOCK CATEGORY.

C. ALL AUTO LOADING PISTOLS MUST HAVE A WORKING SAFETY.

D. SINGLE ACTION REVOLVERS ARE NOT COMPETITIVE!.

2. CALIBERS - PLATES ARE CALIBRATED FOR A 130 POWER FACTOR.
A. THE CENTER FIRE CARTRIDGE MINIMUM CALIBER IS 9mm.

C. NO CALIBERS LARGER THAN .45 ACP ARE ALLOWED.

D. NO RIFLE CARTRIDGES SHALL BE USED.


III. HOLSTERS:

1. HOLSTERS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL CENTER FIRE HANDGUNS:

A. THE HOLSTER MUST BE ON OR FORWARD OF THE HIP.

B. CROSS DRAW, SHOULDER AND BEHIND THE HIP TACTICAL HOLSTERS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED.

C. THE HOLSTER MUST COVER THE TRIGGER WHEN THE WEAPON IS HOLSTERED.



IV. RANGE PROCEDURES:

1. THE SHOOTERS WILL BE IN THEIR RESPECTIVE SHOOTING BOX OR BEHIND THE FOUL LINE.

2. RANGE OFFICER (RO) - "YOU MAY TAKE AN UNLOADED SIGHT PICTURE AND/OR YOU MAY LOAD AND MAKE READY". (SIGHT PICTURES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED AFTER THE FIRST RUN.)

3. THE PARTICIPANTS SHOULD INDICATE READY BY RAISING THEIR HANDS ABOVE THE SHOULDERS SO THAT THEIR WRISTS MAY BE SEEN FROM BEHIND.

4. RO - "ARE THE SHOOTERS READY?" OR "READY ON THE LEFT, READY ON THE RIGHT." (1-3 SECOND PAUSE).

5. RO - "STAND BY"

6. THE RO WILL THEN BLOW A HORN IN 1 TO 3 SECONDS.

7. THE PARTICIPANT WILL THEN ENGAGE THEIR TARGET ARRAY WITH THE STOP TARGET BEING THE LAST TARGET TO FALL.

8. A PARTICIPANT SHALL PERFORM A RELOAD AFTER THEIR FIRST TARGET FALLS AND BEFORE THEIR STOP TARGET IS ENGAGED.

9. AFTER SHOOTING THE TARGET ARRAY, THE PARTICIPANT SHOULD RE-LOAD OR VERIFY THAT THERE ARE SUFFICIENT ROUNDS REMAINING TO RE-ENGAGE THE TARGET ARRAY.

10. THEIR WEAPON WILL BE REHOLSTERED AND SECURLY RETAINED.

11. THE SHOOTERS WILL SWAP SIDES WHILE THE TARGETS ARE RESET FOR THE NEXT RUN.

12. WHEN THE 1st TWO (2) WINS HAVE OCCURED: RO - "UNLOAD AND SHOW SHOW CLEAR"

13. EACH PARTICIPANT WILL:
A. PISTOLS
1) REMOVE THE WEAPONS MAGAZINE.

2) MANUALLY CYCLE THE SLIDE TO CLEAR THE LAST ROUND FROM THE CHAMBER.

3) CHECK THE CHAMBER TO INSURE THE WEAPON IS CLEAR.

4) HOLD THE SLIDE TO THE REAR AND SHOW THE WEAPONS CHAMBER FOR THE RO TO VERIFY CLEAR.

5) RELEASE THE SLIDE.

6) POINT THE WEAPON DOWN RANGE AND RELEASE THE HAMMER TO THE FORWARD POSITION. (SQUEEZING THE TRIGGER IS REQUIRED.)

B. REVOLVERS WITH ACCESSIBLE CYLINDERS
1) ACCESS THE CYLINDER.
2) REMOVE ALL CARTRIDGES.
3) SHOW THE LOADING SIDE OF THE CYLINDER FOR THE RO TO VERIFY CLEAR.
4) CLOSE THE CYLINDER.

14. THE RO WILL INFORM EACH PARTICIPANT THAT THE WEAPON IS CLEAR AND TO EITHER HOLSTER OR BAG THE WEAPON.


15. THE WEAPONS HAMMER SHALL ALWAYS BE IN THE FORWARD POSITION (FIRED) BEFORE THE WEAPON IS STOWED.


V. SCORING MATCHES:

1. TARGETS MUST BE KNOCKED DOWN OR OVER TO COUNT AS HIT.

2. ALL PLATES MUST BE DOWN BEFORE KNOCKING OVER THEIR STOP PLATE.

3. THE STOP PLATE ENDS THE STRING.

4. A WIN IS AWARDED TO THE SHOOTER WHO'S STOP PLATE IS DOWN FIRST. (ALL OTHER TARGETS MUST BE DOWN BEFORE THE STOP TARGET TO WIN THE STRING.)

5. BICYCLE, AIR OR ANY OTHER LOUD NOISE MAY BE USED TO START THE TWO SHOOTERS.

6. A PARTICIPANT WHO BEGINS THEIR DRAW BEFORE THE BEEP SHALL LOSE THAT RUN.

7. THE RO MAY APPOINT ONE OR MORE PARTICIPANTS TO ASSIST IN OBSERVING THE SHOOTERS AND DETERMINING THE WINNER.

8. MATCH RESULTS ARE DETERMINED BY ADDING A PARTICIPANTS WINS.



VI. ALIBI'S:

1. NO ALIBI"S ARE PERMITTED.

2. JAMS AND AMMUNITION RELATED FAILURES ARE THE RESPOSIBILITY OF THE SHOOTER TO RESOLVE.



VII. SAFETY RULES:

1. COLD RANGES RULES WILL APPLY.
A. WEAPONS MAY ONLY BE HANDLED IN A DESIGNATED SAFE AREA OR

B. ON THE FIRING LINE UNDER THE DIRECT SUPERVISION OF THE RO.

C. THE RO'S PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY IS TO INSURE THE SAFETY OF THE PARTICIPANTS.


2. THE READY CONDITION OF PISTOLS IN THE SHOOTING BOX WILL BE:
A. DOUBLE ACTION REVOLVERS - HAMMER FULLY DOWN. NO HALF COCKS.

B. PISTOLS:
1) SINGLE ACTION - HAMMER FULLY COCKED WITH THE THUMB SAFETY ON SAFE.

2) DOUBLE ACTION - SAFETY ON. MAY NOT BE CARRIED FULLY COCKED. IF THE SAFETY MECHANISM DROPS THE HAMMER WHEN THE
SAFETY IS ACTUATED.

3. EYE PROTECTION IS MANDATORY FOR ANYONE AT THE RANGE DURING STEEL SHOOTS. RO'S WILL STOP ANY SHOOTING IF ANY PERSON PRESENT AT THE STAGE DOES NOT HAVE EYE PROTECTION.

4. HEARING PROTECTION IS RECOMMENDED.


VIII. DISQUALIFICATION (DQ):

1. ANY ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:
A. BREAKING A LINE WHICH EXTENDS LEFT AND RIGHT FROM THE FRONT OF THE SHOOTING BOX (OR LINE) WITH THE MUZZLE OF A LOADED WEAPON. (BREAKING THE 180).

B. A DIRECT LINE IMPACT OF A FIRED PROJECTILE WITHIN A RADIUS OF NINE FEET OF THE SHOOTER. (ACCIDENTAL DISCHARGE OR AD).

C. FIRING ABOVE THE SAFETY BERMS. (SHOOTING INTO THE AIR).

D. LEAVING THE FIRING LINE WITH A LOADED PISTOL.

E. DROPPING A LOADED PISTOL.

F. ANY SHOT IN THE HOLSTER.

G. ANY ACCIDENTAL DISCHARGE (AD). INCLUDING DISCHARGES WHILE LOADING AND CLEARING THE WEAPON.

H. ANY SHOOTER WHO DISPLAYS DISRUPTIVE BEHAVIOR OR IS ABUSIVE (VERBAL OR OTHERWISE) TOWARD ANY OTHER PERSON AT THAT MATCH.

2. ANY TWO OF THE FOLLOWING:
NOTE: AN UNLOADED WEAPON HAS BEEN VERIFIED AS EMPTY BY THE RO BEFORE THE INCIDENT OCCURS.
A. BREAKING THE 180 LINE WITH AN UNLOADED WEAPON.

B. HANDLING AN UNLOADED WEAPON BEHIND THE FIRING LINE.

C. DROPPING AN UNLOADED WEAPON.

D. PICKING UP A DROPPED UNLOADED WEAPON EXCEPT UNDER SUPERVISION OF THE RO.

3. A RO MAY DISMISS A PARTICIPANT FOR ANY UNSAFE ACT.

4. GRIEVANCES WILL BE SETTLED BY THE MATCH DIRECTOR.
