American Speed Plates are scheduled for the 1st, 3rd and (if it occurs) 5th Saturday each month. Check the 'Matches' months calendar for scheduled match days. The matches are scheduled for 6 stages. There are normally 5 targets for each of the 6 stages which are shot 5 times (5 x 5 x 6) = 150 rounds - if you miss nothing!

The shooting box location will vary from 7 yards to 35 yards to the nearest target. Targets can be 10", 12" and/or 18 x 24". Target heights are from 18" to 66" to the center of the plate.

Man On Man matches are held on the 2nd Saturday of each month). Two events are shot. A Pepper Popper event and a Plate Rack event. All shooters will shoot against each of the other participants.

The participant earns a classification for the American Speed Plates and a target count for the Man On Man match.

The Man On Man match has no handgun or ammunition capacity requirements. The participant must perform a reload between their first target to fall and before engaging their Stop plate. The ammunition must not damage the targets and can not be rim fire. Participants must draw from an approved holster (a holster cannot permit the sweeping other personnel during the draw or re-holstering). All first time participants will start with the full target count. Their future target count will be established after the match has completed and will be their total wins (best 2 out of 3 is a win) divided by the number of contestants they shot against.

The Pepper Popper Event is shown with all targets set up. Each shooter could have:
Seven (7) 2/3 size pepper poppers (one is a stop plate) and one (1) steel knock down plate.

The Plate Rack Event is also shown with all targets set up. Each shooter could have:
Six (6) 8" rack plates, a 1/2 Size Pepper Popper stop target and one (1) steel knock down plate.
The Plate Rack Match match has no handgun or ammunition capacity requirements. The participant may perform one reload per run if it is required to knock all (6) six targets. The ammunition must not damage the targets and can not be rim fire. Participants must draw from an approved holster (a holster cannot permit the sweeping other personnel during the draw or re-holstering).
Each Plate rack will have (6) eight inch targets. There will be (2) Plate racks used each match day. The Left rack plates will be engaged left to right and the right rack right to left. A stage will be (5) runs on a plate rack. There will be (5) stages. The (5) runs per stage will require 30 Rounds minimum. The slowest run will not be counted. Each rack will be shot twice - (4) stages and the 5th stage will be the rack which was shot first. A participants times are divided by the fastest time for the match.
